If you were to hear about a place that combines food, drinks, comedy, art, music and conversations; won’t that be stuff great evenings are made off. Worry no more, The People & Co. is back and it’s better than ever. Nestled in a chic and trendy ambience, this place has something for everyone and that is what makes it unique. On our visit at their official launch party recently, we got a taste of the things this club has to offer and a whiff of the things to come.
The place looks modern with wood used in abundance. As in its first innings, they have done a decent job with the interiors @ The People & Co. keeping it simple, yet pleasant. The wall dedicated to some of the established and upcoming comics in the country adds to the overall feel of the place.
Chef Abhinav has been around the NCR food scene enough to know what works and he delivers right on it, with a smile. We were treated to a specially curated multi-course menu that looked as well as it tasted. My personal favourite being the Mushroom Galouti and Meat Lovers Pizza.
The Thai Fish Cake might be a great experiment, but not great in taste. The main course was quite diverse with everything from Goat Cheese Risotto to Dual Textured Duck to Spice Crusted Sole. Tell you what, I have a weakness for Risottos and this one was quite a hit. But it was the dessert like always which stole the show for me. In Gulab Jamun Cheese cake, it was like the best of both worlds.
We were also treated to a variety of mocktails, but sadly enough none of them were that pleasing to the taste buds. That’s one area where they can do better…but the rest of it seems to be going for The People and Co. Go there for an evening fusion of fun, food and laughter and it won’t disappoint you!!
