Rohit GuptaMalabar Xpress is one of the restaurants located in Pune that serves you aunthentic Kerala Food. Last week we were invited for the review. We tried chicken thali and few other dishes. It is a small place for dine-in but the service and the food taste was really lip smacking. Although I am not much aware of aunthentic Malabar taste but I must say I really liked the taste. I will recommend this to everyone looking for taste of Kerala in Pune.
The Review
Malabar Express serves authentic Kerala food and is located in Super Mall of Salunkhe Vihar. By watching the entrance of the restaurant itself we were sure that we will be trying today some aunthentic south food and was really excited to try something new today.
Ambience of the restaurant made us feel that we have come to south as it had few pictures showing culture of Kerala.
We were offered to try there chicken thali on the banana leaf as an authentic Kerala restaurant.
The Chicken Thali mainly consist of Avival, Pachadi,Thoran,Rice with Sambhar,Malabar Chicken Curry,appam.
All of this was served with butter milk, fried chilly, Kerala parotha, papad and rasam. Also we were offered to try Fish Tawa Fry and Malabar Fish curry.
Overall, a nice place to taste aunthentic Kerala food and a must visit place for people who love taste of Kerala.
