I visited After Stories, sector 29, Gurgaon, on their first anniversary and it was amazing. They organised a party with an open bar and the snacks were served directly at the table. I went there with a friend of mine and he was highly impressed with the ambience and the DJ.
Note: Service was extremely slow, maybe because of the party or maybe otherwise.
At first, we started with Apple Cider freshly brewed beer and Peach freshly brewed beer, along with Mutton Seekh Kebabs. The beer tasted amazing and the kebabs were good too.
Then, I got a Green Apple Mojito and White Papad with a dip. The dip tasted beautifully and the papad were also covered with white sauce. It was the first time that I tried this with a beer and now it might always be there, whenever I have a drink next. It was light and tasty.
Then, my friend got a Freshly Brewed Tap Beer and surprisingly, it tasted way better than it looked. It was perfectly cold and had all the right flavours.
Then, we were served Cheese Corn Cutlets. The presentation lacked structure, but the taste was good. It just lacked a little bit of salt or maybe if it was served with a tangy dip, it would’ve tasted better.
Then, we were served Boneless Tandoori Chicken with mint sauce and Chicken Tikka and both were simply amazing. The chicken was cooked well, it was soft, and extremely delicious. They just refreshed my palate. I ate it with a Vodka Ale, which is one of the best cocktails that I have ever tasted.
Then, I got a LIIT for myself and apparently, it was extremely strong. So, I had to keep it away, but I did reorder the Chicken Tikka; couldn’t have enough of it in the first go, but it tasted disgusting then!
In the end, me and my friend went to the dance floor and danced for quite sometime and then we just returned back. The ambience and the crowd of the place was amazing. It was a fantastic party and I do plan to visit the place soon.
The overall experience was good, they just need to work on their service.
